(PLATE 1) Starting the day right. With PRAYER! Getting Set Up Branson Gospel Music Revival w/ Emma Carter It's set up day at Branson Gospel Music Revival! We're all so excited about what the week has in store. These people are like my family, so when we pulled in this morning at 8:30, it felt like we were home. I could feel the exciting energy in the air. We started the day with lots of hugs and greetings and then a time of prayer. After prayer time everyone registered, unloaded, set up, did a sound check and then we got to hang out for a while, before we had our first Chapel service. I definitely was on picture overload. There are so many photo opportunities, and memories I want to capture. I think I will find it a bit challenging to juggle reporting, photography, being an artist, and hanging out with friends. I'm always up for a good challenge though! One of my favorite parts of Branson Gospel Music Revival is getting to catch up with my best friend Paige. She's the daughter of Rod and Kelly Burton. We have a lot of fun working the registration booth together and walking around just talking to people. You can never have too many friends and that's one thing I love about Southern Gospel Music, the people are amazing! I asked Jimmy McMillan, of McMillan and Life, what he was most looking forward to this week. "Honestly, just getting to be with friends. I'm very excited about the direction Branson Gospel Music Revival is going. I completely agree with Jimmy. This time of encouragement and lifting each other up is so important. We pour out and pour out so much, it's good to have a time to be filled back up, and be with the ones you love. We ended the day with a time of praise and worship and a Prayer Walk around the Tri-Lakes Church to ask for Gods anointing on this week. by Emma Carter (PLATE 2) What a beautiful auditorium!
